Chichoulet enjoys an unrivalled position on the banks of the estuary of the L’Aude. It has approximately 75m of frontage onto the river.

In the grounds there is a swimming pool, tennis court, swings, seesaw and trampoline. However, care should be taken with very young children due to the proximity of the river.

To one side of the house is a small marina and boatyard and sheds where oysters and mussels are wholesaled. Inland from the house is an area of salt flats which give way to vineyards.

You can walk out of the back of the house and buy trays of open oysters, mussels and prawns.

Fishing boats and pleasure boats pass the property throughout the day.

The beaches of the Mediterranean are a walk away.

You can see the Mediterranean from the top windows of the house and on a clear day you can see the snow on the Pyrenees.

Outside

In the garden there is a swimming pool with diving board, a tennis court, a trampoline, swings and a seesaw.

There are boules and a table tennis table, which are kept in the garage.

You can also fish in the River Aude from the garden and if you are lucky and catch something, you can barbecue it on the brick barbecue in front of the house.
There are one adults and two children’s bicycles in the garage which you can use.
